Volunteer Rules & Policy

What Makes a Great Rhythm N’ Blooms Volunteer?

If you love listening to fantastic music, meeting new people, helping others and simply knowing that you are a part of making a difference in your community, then volunteering with Rhythm N’ Blooms Music Festival is perfect for you!

Rhythm N’ Blooms seeks volunteers who are:

  • Committed to promoting a positive environment for Festival attendees.
  • Passionate about people.
  • Team players that staff and fellow volunteers can rely on.
  • Enthusiastic about music.

As a volunteer, it is crucial to know your importance to the overall Festival success and to know you are being entrusted with the organization’s resources and facilities. We strive to cultivate lasting experiences that allow our volunteers to advance the Festival’s success, while also providing you with the opportunity to see the behind-the-scenes activities of the Festival.

What are the requirements to be a Volunteer at Rhythm N’ Blooms Music Festival?

  • Volunteers must be 18 years or older on or before May 1st, 2019.
  • Volunteers must be on time for all shifts.
  • Volunteers must wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes.
  • Volunteers will be provided a t-shirt to only wear while working.
  • There is a zero tolerance policy for the use of alcohol or illegal drugs for volunteers, prior to and during all volunteer activities.
  • If you are caught under the influence, stealing, or passing your volunteer credentials during your shift, you will lose your access to the Festival.

◦ Attend the Festival shows on the day of your selected Festival day pass

◦ Participate in the inner-workings of the 2019 Rhythm N’ Blooms Music Festival

◦ Have an awesome experience!

My friend is also volunteering. Can you coordinate my shift with his or hers?

We have several roles and areas where we can accommodate small groups of volunteers to work together.  While we do our best to group friends and family together, It’s unlikely a team of 5 or more will all be working in the same assignment or same location together.  Provide us with the name of one or two friends or family as your Volunteer Buddy during the application process, encourage them to sign up through Volunteer Knoxville, and we will do our best to place you together when you are assigned!  Feel free to email us at volunteer@rhythmnbloomsfest.com for questions or concerns.

How can I assure that I get on my preferred volunteer assignment?

There are no guarantees of volunteer placements.  If you have special skills that would make you a better fit for a certain task, please note that on the application.  We appreciate your flexibility and willingness to lend a helping hand!

Is transportation or accommodation provided?

No.  All volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Festival.  There is no parking, lodging, or other accommodation provided for volunteers.

I already bought a ticket, but I would still like to help out for a few hours. Can I do that?

Sure!  All volunteers are welcome.  Feel free to sign up on Volunteer Knoxville for whatever shift you are available for.  We ask that you only sign up for shifts you are available for the full 4 hours of that shift.  Keep in mind that you can also earn passes for a family member or a friend.  Passes earned through the volunteer program have no cash value and resale of these wristbands is prohibited.

If your question is not answered in these FAQs, please email volunteer@rhythmnbloomsfest.com. Please note that we receive an overwhelming number of emails and will try to answer your emails as quickly as possible.

If you are interested in volunteering for Rhythm N’ Blooms, please review and acknowledge acceptance of the following statements in order to proceed:

Volunteer Buddies and Teams

One of the most successful aspects of our Festival is that we allow volunteers to sign up with a buddy or small team of volunteers.  The Volunteer Buddy and Team system is a convenient way to sign up to volunteer with friends, family members, or a group of people from work, club, or church group, for instance.  It allows you to easily sign up multiple people for the same shift.  Please keep in mind that with over 700 anticipated volunteers and 1200+ shift assignments, scheduling groups together can be a challenge.  But, we will strive to do our best to link you and your group together for your assignment!

In order to sign up with a buddy or team, follow the directions for the Volunteer Team on the online signup process.  Or provide the name(s) of the volunteers in your group in the notes section of the online signup form.  However, please also do the following:

  • Be sure to encourage all of the members of your group to sign up online.  That way we will have their key information in the system and will be able to contact each group member with information to be sent via email.
  • Have all of the members of your group sign up for the SAME DAY and also for the SAME SHIFT.  This will help us keep you scheduled together.

Feel free to email us at volunteer@rhythmnbloomsfest.com for questions or concerns.

As we get closer to the Festival, we will be emailing you additional information – where to park, where to check-in, when to check-in, assignments, and other Tips and Information – so be watching your email for updates!

If you need to cancel a volunteer shift, please send an email to volunteer@rhythmnbloomsfest.com.  Note CANCEL SHIFT in the subject line.  Let us know the name and day and time of the shift that you will need to cancel.  You can also remove yourself from your shift online through Volunteer East Tennessee.
